Heatherbrae Builders is a family-owned and operated general contracting services firm that specializes in commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, and building fields. They also provide consulting services such as construction management, quantity surveying, cost analysis, value engineering, arbitration, and mediation.
Heatherbrae’s server and network hardware environment was aged, out of warranty, and their servers were running out of space. The networking infrastructure needed to be upgraded in order to cater to their multi-office business environment and to provide streamlined connectivity for all users at all sites.
The goal for this project was to deploy a new server and network hardware to provide Heatherbrae with an in-warranty hardware infrastructure based on enterprise-level solutions. We deployed new virtual Host servers and retired all of their old servers. We also upgraded their networking equipment and deployed new firewalls, switches, and a new server rack to support their updated hardware environment. To streamline connectivity between locations, we implemented new security standards for site-to-site virtual private network capabilities and integrated new solutions to allow for file/folder replication so that staff could simultaneously work on documents/files.
