We’re looking to add a Director of Growth to our team who will be based in our downtown Toronto office!

Role Summary:

As the Director of Growth for our Eastern region, you will be responsible for all aspects of managing our Toronto team and generating new business! You will be responsible to ensure our core values and our clients’ expectations are adhering to Nucleus’ standards.  As the front-line Manager for our Toronto office, you will be managing and overseeing employees, ensuring efficient operations on a day-to-day basis, as well as identifying new business opportunities in the GTA area.  The ideal candidate will be a strategist and a leader able to steer the company to the most profitable direction while also implementing its vision, mission and goals. You might help provide thought leadership in many areas that include support desk, marketing, service delivery, business development and/or project support. You will also support our Service Managers with client escalations focused on improving client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate and manage strategic risks and opportunities
  • Acts as an escalation point for internal teams and clients
  • Ensure compliances with company and industry standards, policies and procedures is enforced
  • Increase overall productivity by eliminating inefficiencies and identifying growth opportunities
  • Manage daily operations and make improvements/suggestions as needed
  • Provide training, coaching, development and motivation for our Toronto office
  • Ensure standardized procedures, mission, vision and values are compliant
  • Identify and work with our Business Development team to maximize sales in the GTA area
  • Develop new client relationships and revenue
  • Prospecting; warm calling, cold calling, mining lists and attending networking events
  • Account Management activities, supporting the Service Manager on client relationship, ensuring accounts are happy and looked after via regular touch-points when needed
  • Diagnosis and troubleshooting client business problems and aligning Nucleus services/solutions with their needs
  • Participate in Marketing-related activities as needed
  • Closing managed service contracts and the sale of services and products
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the products and services we offer
  • Serve as a single point of contact for key client contacts and internal stakeholders for our Eastern clients
  • Obtains profit contribution by managing staff; establishing and accomplishing business objectives
  • Communicate values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing a climate for offering information and opinions
  • Develops strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives
  • Accomplishes subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections
  • Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices; coordinating actions with management team
  • Builds company image by collaborating with clients, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

  • Demonstrate the ability to build and manage relationships with clients (internal and external) through consistent and proactive communications
  • 5+ years Technical experience in an IT environment is required, Helpdesk experience considered an asset
  • 5+ years experience in progressively responsible Management roles
  • 5+ years experience in Business Development
  • Strong organizational, time management, presentation, customer service and leadership skills
  • Strong sales and negotiation techniques
  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
  • Outgoing, positive, with a glass half-full mentality
  • Ability to multi-task and self-motivated
